If you add all the dialogue in this movie, I would be amazed if it was more than 5 pages. I did not know much about it going in and really liked it. It is def not for the sensitive folks. Disturbing subject matter and violent.
However, not as violent as it easily could have been. a lot is implied or shown after effects. It is intense and also very well shot. Arty and grimy at same time. Phoenix does wonders with his nonverbal acting.
