It's a very atmospheric, messy, pulpy, well shot movie. In some parts almost oneiric. Even with these qualities I have to say that "You Were Never Really Here" is just an average movie. There is a lack of content, and there is nothing really new in it.
Maybe the biggest fault is on my side though: I had very high expectations! I was waiting for the release and when this happen either is a masterpiece (like Three Billboards) or I get disappointed. Anyway there is around way worse.
