Connery is on fine form, but the film has dated badly in its depiction of women and special effects that, to the modern viewer at least, are really rather poor. Having said that, the show piece battle is one of the best (and a clear inspiration for Austin Powers).

This must also be one of the earliest "Western" films to reference ninja assassins, here depicted as the good guys.
