Review of You Only Live Twice (2007) by Erin F — 07 Nov 2009

Firstly this is an entertaining James Bond epic has everything a Bond film should have car chases, airoplane battles, big gun battles etc. The only thing letting the whole thing down is the script it has more holes than a bag of hools hoops! Maybe am thinking about this too much, but how do you build a massive base in a volcano without anyone noticing! Sean Connery at this point is starting to look bored playing James Bond but still does a good job, Donald Pleasance is a real plus as the head villian "Goodbye Mr Bond!" if you overlook some dodgy visual effects (Even in 1967 how they think they would get away with those s***e car backdrops!) its a good film for a rainy afternoon but not one of the best bond films.
