Review of You Only Live Twice (2007) by Lex A — 01 Jan 2011
Under rated" may be the most common and appropriate term to describe this (the fifth) James Bond movie which was filmed during the arguable peak of Sean Connery's popularity. Written by Roald Dahl (yes, he of ".
..Giant Peach" fame) but still shoe-horned into the traditional Bond formula, the once-and-future-Bond opted out of the next film because he felt that this episode epitomized the new focus on gadgets & explosions instead of character.
(little did he know) There is at least a little bit more than that here--awesome sets & locations, actually useful gadgets--and if you ignore the redundancies of this movie from its peers, it gets better with time.
5/16/9.
