Review of You Only Live Twice (2007) by Bradley K — 07 Jan 2014
Both grandiose and modest. Much is done to make use of the Japanese location shooting. Unlike other Bond films, which rush from one corner of the world to the next, giving only the most cavalier treatment of geography, we a treated to an almost intimate view of then contemporary Japan.
(Which must have seemed very exotic to western audiences in the late 60s) Not as flamboyant as other instalments but treat yourself to the epic ninja army invasion at the end... Now that's a finale!
