Review of You Can't Take It with You (1938) by Perrin J — 18 Jul 2008
A classic, under-appreciated Frank Capra picture (it won Best Picture in 1938). Follows he Capra mold of anti-capatilist sentiments mixed with a healthy dash of optimism. Lionel Barrymore and Jimmy Stewart shine through.
Ann Miller is particularly funny as the wannabe ballerina sister. It's themes are still relevant today.
