Review of You Can't Take It with You (1938) by Rachel L — 10 Dec 2010
Another Capra Oscar darling, and his first collaboration with all around darling Stewart. The message here is clear and even then not very original, and the movie veers into sentimental mush way too often.
It has its sweet moments, but had it not been for a very gifted cast, this could easily have been a toe-curling daytime melodrama.
