Review of You Can Count on Me (2000) by Laura L — 22 Mar 2004
Well this upcoming week is Spring Break for my friends unlucky enough to still be going to UWM . My friend, Erika went to Texas with her boyfriend. And hopefully we are all going to go to Chicago this weekend. Six of us have tickets to Wolfsheim. My parents are both coming down with something, so I'm hoping I'll stay healthy, and will be able to go! I've been looking forward to this trip for months!
Nate finally got his kilt. I got to see him try it on yesterday. He liked the new one much better. He looked so sexy. Maybe he'll wear it to Convergence when it's warm out. He also told me his band is getting close to being ready to play out. He'd wear it for a show I bet.
Dave H recommended "You can Count on me" so I rented it this past weekend. I watched it yesterday. It was really moving. The scroungy brother was really good. I liked the scenes with him & her son the best. The main character Laura Linney, was wonderful too. She looked so pained whenever she was with her boyfriend. I could just feel her discomfort. Did that movie win any awards?
I think we are going to visit the new baby on Wednesday. yay! I'm really excited to see him!
