Review of You Can Count on Me (2000) by Nickthecritick — 24 Apr 2022
Lenny, the thirty-year-old son of a heart surgeon, is forced by his father, after yet another transgression, to take care of David, a teenager suffering from a disease that leaves him little time to live.
Not lacking financial means, he will have to make him draw up a wish list and fulfill them all. Some may be satisfied with the money but others need a lot more. Film that tries to excite, but turns out to be didactic and to forcibly seek tenderness.
