Review of You Can Count on Me (2000) by Rex L — 22 Jan 2011
One of my favorite movies ever, I actually just bought it on DVD, like DVD DVD, not BluRay DVD, because that was the only format I could find it in. Mark Ruffalo and Laura Linney give their best performances in this movie, a small movie about a sister and a brother who had struggled to raise each other, but now the former is struggling as a single mom in NH and the latter is struggling as a wayward adult.
Not a morose movie or a depressing one, just a very human one. Makes me cry, although so does Just Like Heaven so take that fwiw.
