There are elements I'm not keen on-the music is too overpowering and some of the short scenes seem a little pretentious and unnecessary. However, the performances by Laura Linney, and especially Mark Ruffalo, mean I can ignore all of that-they are quite literally amazing in this movie.
The characters and relationships they are given are so genuine and wonderful, and you can tell they almost can't believe their luck at being handed these roles-and they do the parts absolute justice.
