Review of You Can Count on Me (2000) by Tanvir M — 08 Dec 2011
A great Indie film about sibling relationship - and more slice of life approach, rather than big dramatic performance. Well deserved Oscar nomination for Laura Linney and the screen play, both of which are top notch in this film.
Rory Culkin is also a revelation, proving he is no less capable than his more famous brother(s). A movie where characters evolve and grow and are not just gimmicks for driving a narrative forward. A suggested view for anyone more interested in the mysteries of the human heart than explosions and car chases.
