Review of You Can Count on Me (2000) by Mihael T — 20 Feb 2012
Ok, this is realy overrated movie! Not so much the story by itself, but directing! It looks like movie was chopped (shortened) from longer version. Scenes are badly cut off, poorly explained. Some scenes are roughly cut, some are too long.
The whole does not make much sense. In one scene the boss is a bitch to Sammy, in very next scene she is doing him in a car. Just one of them. A lot of things are started (like lines of text, or some happenings) which than hangs in the air not explained or concluded.
The movie is like a pine tree: main story is clear and straight, but most of other scenes are like branches - without being concluded, explained; they just ends without being answered why that was important.
Like stuffing, but not made good enough to be evedent it's just stuffing. Poor. The good thing is act of al main characters. I loved that part.
