The ridiculous premise could have made for decent camp, but much of the intended absurdity gets lost due to what seems to be a severe lack of focus. It's mostly an unfunny, poorly acted, incoherent mess with the occasional saving grace coming in the form of inside references for Smith's fans and Depp's reasonably humorous second turn in Smith's Canada trilogy.
