Review of Yi Yi (2000) by Andhika B — 29 Dec 2009
When it appears in almost every critics decade list,my curiousity to watch this film increased intensively.,and now I have watch it,i'm gonna said that,though its good,but it's not the "masterpiece" everyones seems to judge. There is one problem with this film:its overlong run time. For 3 hours,there are some scenes that feels unnecesary,but I do understand that,since, Yang wants to provided all the aspects of life (birth,death,wedding,funeral,love,betrayal,all about anything),and to captured it in just '3 hour' is quite an achievement.and it works.
So,while I though this is a complete and excellent drama,this will come nowhere near my top of decade list.
