Review of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (1963) by Clare N — 30 Jul 2009
This film is yet another example of how wonderful the partnership between Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni is under the direction of Vittorio De Sica. Ierri, Oggi, Domani (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) consists of three humorous vignettes about sex starring the couple as different characters in each.
The first involving Loren continuously becoming pregnant to avoid jail time is a riot, the second about the pair having an affair sees most of the action with Loren clumsily behind the wheel of a gorgeous Rolls Royce and the third the story of a Roman call girl and herover-enthusiastic customer.
Incredibly funny and with wonderful performances by Mastroianni and Loren, who performs what has now become a legendary striptease in the third vignette.
