Review of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (1963) by Kevin R — 25 Sep 2015
We married for love. It's obvious the will is still there.
This picture delivers three short stories of a very attractive Italian woman and the types of obstacles she needs to overcome to achieve her goals. She attracts many men, but has a main soulmate of sorts that is her main man that wants to love and take care of her. She will need to bat off pursuers and stick with her man if she hopes to find happiness in each story.
"But I could have killed that kid.".
"Who cares about that idiot?".
Vittorio De Sica, director of Sunflower, The Voyage, After the Fox, A Place for Lovers, Marriage Italian Style, Two Women, and The Roof, delivers Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. The storyline for this picture is above average and fun to watch unfold. The dialogue is pretty good as is the acting. The cast includes Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni.
"Let's see if I can catch a customer.".
I randomly came across this on Netflix and decided to add it to the queue. This is fairly well done, with some of the stories being better than others. As an overall picture, that's in Italian, I'm not sure it is a must see, but it is worth a viewing if you're a fan of the classics.
"You've been pardoned. You're free.".
Grade: C+.
