Review of Yentl (1983) by Penelope B — 02 Jan 2008
A film that I watched 20 years ago and although I didn't remember every detail, I remembered that it meant a lot to me and that I wanted to see it again one day.
That day was today.
The "musical" content of it drags the story out a bit but at the same time adds to the emotional build up of the story. A young girl's passion to read and study rejected for the simply reason that she is a woman and so, disguised as a man, she seeks her quest which makes "love" just that little bit more difficult.
