This is probably one of the movies that noone knows and doesn't care about. One of my dad's friends, John, gave this movie to me and asked if I could review this movies for one of my dad's review websites. I wasn't really sure I wanted to see this movie, because when I looked at the cover of the dvd case, it was the yellow submarine with The Beatles, but animated. I thought it was gonna be one of those stupid Disney sing-a-longs, but it wasn't. It was actually had some plot to it.

Starting from the beginning I thought it was pretty good with the opeening songs, but then it went all wrong with the villains. I swear, some of the jokes in this movie are bumps to the forehead.

Ex.: "The British are coming! The British are coming!", was changed to "The Meanies are coming! The Meanies are coming!".

Apparently when the plot starts, The Beatles have to go save a town at the bottom of the sea with their, yes, "Yellow Submarine." And who would have thought that the "Blue Meanies, AKA the villains" don't like music. And since The Beatles don't have superpowers, the only way to save the town, is with music.

Now, what I loved was the stunning colors in this movie. The colors were so bright and colorful, and when they start putting music in the movie they start adding amazing 2-d graphics with beautiful colors, it makes it seem like a weird music video.

At the end of this movie they have to let The Beatles guest star in the film, with all the weird plot they start talking about from the movie. After watching this, I think I respect The Beatles' music a lot more than I usually do. I think the soundtrack is a must buy.

The plot totally screwed up this whole movie making it seem like the director was on drugs and that all the little 5-year old kids would enjoy this movie. There was so many childish jokes it made we just want to hit myself with a metal pole!

The biggest line in this movie is "It's all in the head." Which makes me think that the director's head was filled with all this crack-like material. Loving the videos with the music was great, but the plot ruined this movie. 4-10.
