Review of Yellow Submarine (1968) by John A — 15 Apr 2012
This was the film that gave me The Beatles when I was four years old. Funny thing is when your a kid the possible hallucinogen induced origins of this film never really occur to you as a kid. Frankly it shouldn't this film for all intents and purposes is a celebration of joy and innocence.
Even the characterization of The Beatles in this film practically seem as childlike variations of the fab four. Through this characterization the classic music we enjoyed as a psychedelic trip can now be enjoyed as a blissful celebration of imagination and I would never want to enjoy it any other way.
