I will never understand some of the critics out there. I don't know why so many people didn't like this movie. I thought it was pretty funny. Not all of it was, but, most of it was pretty entertaining.

It is almost like a modern version of Mel brooks History of the world, only, it seemed that a lot of the stuff that happened to the main charactors happened in a short period of time. Going from cavemen to Roman soldiers was a stretch.

There seemed to be a lot of biblical references in the movie, that wouldn't be possible. The whole Cain and Able thing certainly wouldn't have happened during roman times, as they were the first children on the earth, and would have been long dead by then. But, that is only true if you believe everything that is told in the bible.

I think Jack Black was his usual funny self. And, even though this movie was full of dead plots, the actors did a fairly good job of making it all seem like real biblical craziness. How do we know that there weren't just as many nutjobs in the past as there are today?

I mean, they did sacrifice virgins into fire to appeal to the gods back then. The only thing that was off was the timing of when that might have happened. Heck, the bible is so full of confusion, how do we know that the creators of this movie don't have it right?

Anyways, it's not a great movie. But, I don't agree with the critics on this one. I think it is entertaining. and I would watch it again.
