Totally offbeat and downright bizarre in places. Year of the dog is not likely to be be everybodys cup of tea but I did find it to be quite touching and rather funny at times. I think it is okay as a source of light entertainment but shouldn't be taken too seriously otherwise it could become depressing and taken the wrong way.
