Review of Year of the Dog (2007) by Shantel D — 31 Mar 2008
This is definitely a case of don't judge a book by it's cover. The movie started out as a bitter sweet romantic comedy about a dog-obsessed, unlucky at love Molly Shannon...but as the film went on, it just got darker and darker.
I really enjoyed the first half or so of the film, but as it progressed to the third act, I found the film trying too hard to be dark and quirky.
