Review of Y Tu Mamá También (2001) by Ryan M — 05 Jul 2012
Y Tu Mamá Tambià (C)n is a powerful coming-of-age story about two boys in Mexico. They go on a road trip with Luisa, a beautiful woman they meet, and the dark secrets of their relationship are exposed.
The films has fantastic character development and powerful themes of love, life, and growing up. As always, director Alfonso Cuarón and cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki create amazing visuals with their coverage of scenes in a single shot.
Overall, it's a very captivating and provocative film with intelligence and heart.
