Review of Y Tu Mamá También (2001) by Jesse G — 28 Mar 2009
It's more than just two horny 17 year olds getting it off with an older woman in her mid 20s...in fact, much more. Not to give away details, it deals with lust, betrayal, risk/chance/luck and the true meaning of love, and most importantly the journey of life.
Cuaron's direction and choice of location is astonishing and couldn't be better. The acting is utterly convincing (as well as the sex scenes) and it just generally oozes with everlasting youth.
A slightly subtle and shocking twist is added into the concoction and makes it all the better too.
