Review of Y Tu Mamá También (2001) by Kiley H — 28 Apr 2009

To me, this movie was not worthy of an oscar nomination. The storyline was shitty, the dialogue was overly graphic, the acting was mediocre at best (the only actor who did well in my eyes was Gael Garcia Bernal), and overall, the movie as a whole was just boring.

I've seen many "coming of age" movies that are very well developed and are very compelling throughout, but this film just wasn't. The only thing I did like was the cinematography and scenery within the movie.

Maybe with a more developed script that was more interesting and better casting, the film would have been better.
