Review of Y Tu Mamá También (2001) by Simon W — 28 Sep 2009
I saw it when I was 12 and I didn't get it, I thought it was pointless, but seeing it at the age of 20, you don't understand it, you feel it, you laugh, you cry, you connect with the movie. It's life, it's death, it's journey of growing up.
Full of wonderful dialogues and a dark criticism to the upper middle class. A kitsch yet classy soundtrack and probably one of the most beautiful endings ever, Cuaron gives us truth, sex, honesty, pain friendship and love in 1hr and 45 min.
Great movie.
