Review of XXY (2007) by Kevin D — 07 May 2009
This is a film soaked in pain. It's powerful at times, and beautifully shot. Ines Efron is believable and intense as a hermaphrodite with two sides to an inner struggle. The film is slow in parts, and there's not much resolution; but XXY should be seen anyway for its abrupt boldness.
