Review of xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017) by Brendan N — 10 Jun 2017

The first 20 minutes was just a sequence of boring characters, one which includes Vin attempting a love scene, definitely not the guys strong suit. The plot line is an utter mess and the villain is never clearly defined.

I watched or should I say suffered through the first 2 movies and this is no different. Vin has a deadline for the movie roles clearly on display, these movies require large stunt work and he doesn't throw himself into the mix like Tom Cruise would.

I don't understand why Donnie Yen would allow himself to be in the same movie he should be starring in. Ice Cube showing up for an unexpected cameo and the obvious non character death can't save a completely a film with no clear direction.

The team up of Ice Cube and Vin Diesel now feels inevitable. 11-06-2017.
