Review of XX (2017) by Robert U — 18 Feb 2017
A film, that appearently got a lot of praise with RT-associated critics for it's all female direction, which is appearently a rare and novel thing in horror (the accuracy of this being debatable). The film does however come with a couple of weaknesses, starting out with an interest-grabbing cryptic story about the mysterious contents of a box and a tale of misfortune at the least appropriate moment, but leads into two weaker segments, that just feel epigonic to their own predecessors and contemporaries alike.
