Review of X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes (1963) by Bill W — 06 Jul 2008
SPOILERS HERE.
Ray Milland had been falling from his super stardom for some time when this film was made. The performances are all pretty good. As I recall the "man" starts by taking some kind of serum or injection and at first he can see through clothing. Since he's a surgeon he takes the stuff again to help with an operation in which he leaves everyone bewildered at how accurately he did the job. Of course things get out of hand and soon he cannot stop seeing through things, which becomes excruciatingly terrifying. Since this is a descent film don't expect a happy ending.
