Review of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) by Christopher L — 27 Jan 2015
This movie was imperfect, but like Inception I have to give it mad credit for accomplishing something so complicated and ambitious so admirably. Sure, it gets silly at points, but the juggling of such a massive cast and dealing with time travel and anachronism and layered storylines is commendable.
This stuff is hard and this movie does it well. Not perfectly, mind, the movie is littered with silly content that holds it back from true greatness, but it's a great X-Men movie with a good arc and lots of shining moments, which we haven't had since X2.
It's totally worth your time if you love this universe or superhero movies in general. It gives me hope for the future of the series and I would happily sit down and watch it again.
