Review of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) by Ross G — 14 May 2015
A worthy successor to X-Men: First Class, this film continues to follow the development of the young versions of the familiar characters, in addition to using a time travel plot device in order to reset parts of the X-Men universe that we have seen in some of the less well received X-Men movies.
At times the time travel sub plot creates some difficulties for the film, but overall it is used effectively to create a good film whose impact will be felt throughout the franchise.
