Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Philipp T — 13 Sep 2016
I can't belive how much I loved this movie. It has flaws in the editing and storytelling, especially in the first hour but for the last hour I had tears in my eyes because of the impact of what was happening on screen.
The battle against Apocalypse is the most impressive and emotional superhero fight that has ever been seen. And that includes the airport scene in Captain America: Civil War. X-Men Apocalypse is intelligent, emotional, dark, funny and maybe the first time the X-Men from the comics were actually realized on screen.
This is a team-movie, a movie about family and friendship. My tip: when you watch the movie, don't focus on its flaws, just be open for an amazing experience and you will be rewarded!
