Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Lindsay S — 18 Sep 2016

I enjoyed this movie quite a bit (though I'm biased because I love most things X-men) and thought this was a lot of fun. Each character got a fair share of screen time without it feeling forced, and lots of fun examples of superpower usage.

Great acting all-around, but Sophie Turner stuck out to me... and not in a good way. She didn't sell it as Jean, and I really just felt like I was watching a bored Sansa pretend she can move things with her mind.

Shame really, because Jean Grey is usually an fast favorite. Generally happy with the other performances and castings though, and of course loved Quicksilver's fan-service scene. Overall pretty good, I'd watch it again in the future.
