Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Shane W — 06 Oct 2016

After the resurrection of the X-Men franchise I can't help, but feel the series has taken a leap in the wrong direction. The story arc of the trilogy's main trio was just lost in the incoherent story telling that was just saturated with too many characters.

The only compelling storyline was that of Magneto and the life he had chosen after Days of Future Past. Another bright spot was Sophie Turner's portrayal of Jean Grey. Unfortunately, another main downside for this particular installment is that of the six X-Men films this film has the least amount of action for a 2 hour and 23 minute running time.
