Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Arry F — 11 Oct 2016

Did I see the same movie the critics did? This somehow got lower ratings than The Last Stand, which the critics shockingly enjoyed. While not as good as X2, First Class, or Days of Future Past, this is a solid entry.

A definite flaw is in having entirely too many characters. The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse are underdeveloped. But our new X-Men all get reasonable amounts of screen time, are likable, and well cast. Since this underperformed another sequel is no guarantee.

Pity, because I'd like to see another, hopefully improved, outing with the new crew. But again, this is a good move. Critics be damned.
