Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Chris G — 30 May 2018
Again another superhero movie not given enough credit, The Disney conspiracy continues, Anyway I really enjoyed this film and in a way I can see why it didn't get rave reviews but it's better than most critics would have you believe, The story is a simple one this time unlike Days Of Future Past and is told well too, Even though some questions we wanted answering from previous movies were not answered which was yet again annoying, With a villain like this he had to be done perfect and I'm afraid he wasn't, Very underused and exposed of too easy in a predictable ending, The action was great fun even though I expected abit more, The main stand out scenes were just about every scene Quicksilver takes centre stage and a great Cameo from Wolverine, The effects were top class but I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version, It added more humour than any of the previous X-Men films (Not including Deadpool) It was a step down from First Class and Days Of Future Past but it still stands up as a great Comic film that will be enjoyed by most of not all X-men fans.
