Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Vadertime — 09 Oct 2016
So, this weekend I sat down to watch my DVD copy of X-men: Apocalypse. I didn't bother wasting time and money at the movie theater due to poor reviews. I trust the critics, most of the time and they were right.
For a villain, Apocalypse was very one dimensional. Furthermore, the fact that the movie had explain who and what he was took away from the story. I liked the Ancient Egypt, beginning sequence and the transference of the consciousness of the ancient being to the new body was interesting.
Throwing in the Logan/Wolverine cameo was great. The rest of the movies and character developments were lukewarm and that might have been, because they had to develop so many of them. I give it 5 out of 10 and it's worth watching if you have time to kill like I did before college football started.
