Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Anna B — 21 Oct 2016

I don't know why these dumb X-Men movies so affect me emotionally. I think it might be Fassbender. All the Apocalypse stuff with the bad makeup, miscasting (I love Oscar Isaac, but no no no), and annoying over-destruction was kinda just background noise to the weirdly touching and human relationships between some of the characters.

It was a surreal experience, to be on the verge of tears while a short dude in a seriously dumb-looking outfit ran around in the background flailing his arms. This is a really stupid movie, and I enjoyed it a lot.
