Review of Wuthering Heights (2011) by Jan B — 29 Nov 2011
I admire the ambition here... let's make a new version of the crinoline classic, but making it earthy, dirty, brooding and let's make the moors (or dales) a key character in the piece. Just a shame that the actors can't hold the whole thing together, but the direction, photography and use of imagery makes it worth revisiting the book and the other films to see which is true to the spirit of the story and its times.
