I've wanted to see Wrong Turn for a while and figured I would like it all right. I didn't expect that I would love it like I do, though. There are two things this movie did absolutely correct that are simple, and yet most newer horror movies fail miserably at.

1. Have a simple, classic, easy to understand plot. No ancient curses, elaborate torture chambers, mind games. They're inbred cannibals- why are they cannibals? Who knows! It's just what they do and we love them for it.

2. The action starts in the very beginning. The building of the background happens in the first five minutes and the rest is nonstop action. An hour into the movie we were both going, "holy crap it's half over already?" and up until the last few minutes you're wondering how the survivors will get out. There's no 30 minute tidy plot clean up scene at the end, the clean up is quick and to the point.
