Review of Wrong Turn (2003) by Casey W — 09 Jul 2016
Most everything else about this is pretty dumb. Only one character gets any development, and there's no story to speak of at all -- the "plot" is basically Hollywood stars get lost in the woods and get hunted as game.
The film depends on you to root for (or against) Eliza Dushku, Jeremy Sisto, and Emmanuelle Chriqui; their characters' names are unimportant, and the hillbillies get no backstory either. Worse, the killers make an inexplicable decision near the end of the movie that makes the conclusion an "OK, whatever" moment.
I do like a lot of the actors here, but Wrong Turn is pretty disappointing.
