Review of Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007) by John F — 25 Aug 2012
Now, the only other Wrong Turn movie I have seen is Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings so be aware I will not be comparing this to the ifrst Wrong Turn movie... So, WT4 was a fairly fun watch, but Wrong Turn 2 was just so much more fun!
Henry Rollins steals the show completely, my main worry was that he wouldn't have enough screen time and get involved with the action... but he gets involved and does some serious butt-breaking in almost all of his scenes.
The rest of the casting is all fairly good, some interesting and fleshed out characters, most of which become quite likeable one point or another, making it fun to try and guess who's next and that adds to the suspense in these kinds of movies.
The gore is there and quite strong, the opening death still remains my personal favorite, its just so cool.
The villains here are the same as in the previous film aswell as from WT4: Bloody Beginnings (As far as I`m aware) and are kind of funny, yet disgusting and brutal killers and in the end I find myself liking them more than I should, yet I am still on the good guys side! That was NOT the case in WT4.
SO yes, gory, amusing, well paced horror entertainment! One of the better slasher-type movies I've seen in a while!
I look forward to watching the other films in this franchise!
