Review of Wristcutters: A Love Story (2007) by Cory F — 13 Jul 2010
Oh, sweet! An indie film that is a quirky, dark comedy. How novel! This one has it all; predictable plot twists, predictable dialogue masquerading as "insightful", tired messages on life, and an independent rock staple (Tom Waits) to give the film legitimacy.
This film tries to hammer you over the head with its cleverness and originality while it almost completely lacks both.
