Review of WR: Mysteries of the Organism (1971) by Ron S — 15 Sep 2007
Balancing localities, philosophies, and sexual identities, linking an array of political characters through the prism of Wilhelm Reich, the (somewhat) titular character: Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Hitler, and Freud predominantly.
Makavejev's sexual politics (or political sex) represent a collision of "isms" and "logies" that attempt to reduce the constructed, political condition of humanity to its most basic factor of love(making).
A familiarity with Eastern European politics of the 20th Century and Reich's writings will come in handy.
