Review of Woven (2016) by Hanna H — 07 Jan 2019
Really enjoyed watching this film. Underrepresented, Woven sheds light on Ethiopian culture and successfully displays its beauty on the big screen, focusing especially on the elements of family loyalty and intimacy.
Beautifully filmed and written, Woven has reminded me of the significance and impact of the existence of independent film for storytelling. Hats off to Salome, Nagwa and the entire crew of this film! Excited for what's to come next!
