Review of Would You Rather (2013) by Isaac D — 27 Sep 2013

This film started out with a promising plot: A creepy older man invites a bunch of strangers up to his mansion for dinner and a chance to win money. All they have to do to win the money is play his little twisted game of "would you rather?" The film starts out slowly, taking ages to finally get to the point where the game begins.

The characters are all 2-Dimensional with the exception of Charlie Hofheimer as Travis who seems to be the only committed character. I found myself either bored or cringing -not from being afraid, but from "that looks like it hurts"-scene.

If you like blood and straightforward films that don't leave you questioning, this is the film for you. I was disappointed because this film had potential to be a true masterpiece. Maybe someone will remake it in the future and give the storyline more justice.
