Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Derek C — 21 May 2010
"World's Greatest Dad" is a dark comedy starring Robin Williams. Robin Williams is a dad who's jerk of a son dies in a freak accident. When he discovers his son dead, he sets it up to make it look like a suicide.
Once the suicide note gets passed around the school everyone thinks his son was a great writer; he then writes a bunch of notes and turns them into 'his sons' journal which then becomes a huge hit as a book.
This movie is dark, creepy, vulgar, risky, but most importantly it's hilarious. The ending was phenominal. I loved Williams' character realizing that he needs to break free of his quiet nervous self.
This is my favorite Robin Williams movie. It was very well done and kept me entertained. I highly reccommend it. 10/10.
